I have just returned from a short break with my family to Lisbon. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from the city. What I found a very interesting city with narrow streets and lots of steps. It is a hilly place but that makes it interesting and for some fantastic photographs. We stayed in Rua de Santa Justa which was very central and it was easy to get around the city from there by walking, taxi and tram. A trip on one of Lisbon’s famous old trams is a must!
Some things we really enjoyed in Lisbon were tasting as many custard tarts as we could, Lost in Terrance Bar – where we had fantastic food and enjoyed a great view of the city, El Rei D’frango’s for a meal. Its small and we waited a while for a table but it was well worth it.
Away from food São Jorge Castle is a great area to explore. Just walking about the streets of Lisbon is great fun. So much to take in.
